Why religious assemblies??

Am I the only one who just doesn't see the point of religious assemblies?

I mean its not even a religious assembly.....its a christian one, and if im correct a Protestant one at that. I mean if the school really considers it necessary to have religious assemblies then shouldn't the speakers be from different religions? This is just a thought, perhaps the pupil council can raise it at the next meeting.

many thanks,
laura

Bus passes not passing

This comment was made by an MGS pupil today. What do you think about yur bus pass situation? Have you been late for school because your bus didn't come. Do you have to spend your own money because the bus pass is not valid on all services?

Regarding the school bus passes, the school has really gone down hill. This morning i have a pass for the First Buses but surprise surprise no first buses came. I think the best way to improve this is by either returning to the old system(cant do because council to cheap) or give us universal bus passes. There is no way i am spending £10 a week to get to school and back!!!!!!!!!

The empty area of concrete behind the math department, is now going to be used as a 1st year playground at break, and for any year at lunch.

Take note...

The Transit is under going changes but some things are not changing. There are going to be notice boards one for each year S1-S5 and the sixth years' board is going to be in the small dining hall. Are the any better ways to keep the MGS pupils informed of what is going on? Add your comment below.

To fizz or not to fizz?

Cola
It has been suggested that we should stop selling fizzy juice and start selling still water, flavoured water, Oasis, Diet Coke and other low sugar drinks. There are going to be drinks machines both in the dining hall and in the transit area. What do you think? Have you got any better ideas about what drinks should be stocked in our school's soft drink machines?
